Seri Baek

began her vocal training at the Seoul Arts High School. While this young study won 1st prize of Koera Singing Competition and the 3 Price of Korean Symphony Orchestra Competition. After high school graduation she enrolled at Ewha womans University in Seoul, she decided to study in Europe and then she earned a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music and further graduate qualifications in Voice at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Prof. Elisabeth Wilke, Prof. Josef Wallnig, Prof. Wolfgang Holzmair and Prof. Barbara Bonney.


During her study, She sang already with great success many J.S.Bach’s works which "St. John Passion" with Dresdnerkammer Orchestra and “Coffee Cantata” and she had a successful concert with Prof. Ludwig Güttler and Leipzig Bach Collegium. Ms. Baek has been invited to Salzburg Easter festival for a Homage Concert for Lisa della Casa, in 2016 made her debut as soprano solo of Haydn’s “Sieben letzte Worte” in Vienna Concert Hall with Wienerkammer Orchestra with Prof. Stefan Vladar.


She invited International Music Festival Ricardo Castro in Mexico, sang 9. Sinfonie in D- Minor Op.125 with an Armenian director David Harutyunyan. She invited  Mexican baroque festival with title of ‘Backen und Händl’ (Bach and Händel), made her Liederabend at IV chamber music festival. She sang in numerous oratorios and cantatas by J.S Bach, Händel’s Messiah, Mozart’s C Minor Mass, Requiem, Mendelssohn's Lobgesang, Ein deutsches Requiem by J. Brahms as well as various genre repertoires.


Ms. Baek was given the opportunities within the Mozart operas Institute in the opera “Le Nozze di Figaro" the Role of Barbarina, Susanna, “Idomeneo” the Role of Ilia, the Role of Zerlina in “Don Giovanni”, the Role of Despina in “Cosí fan tutte”, Role of Norina in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” and Role of Laetitia in Mentti’s Opera “The old maid and the thief”. She played also the role of Blonde in Mozart's “Die Entführung aus dem Serail” with The state philharmonic of Sibiu in Salzburg and Sibiu. Ms. Baek performed the role of Dhia in Mascagni’s “Iris” at Neukoelleroper in Berlin.


The Soprano presented at TEDx peñas (2018) as classical singer, performed with Flamenco Sinfónico Oscar de Manuel, and was invited to Latin America Green Awards 2019.


Ms. Baek was on the faculty of Universidad Juarez de Durango, Mexico, currently is on the faculty of Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo, Samborondón, Ecuador, as University Professor of singing.
